Who we are
SwipeStart is operated by Breukers Willem Albertus E.E., Valaoritou 1, TK 10671, Athens, Greece ("we"). GEMI: 186520701000 · VAT: 802973201 · Tax Office: KEFODE Attikis. We are the data controller for the personal data processed in the SwipeStart app. Contact / data protection: [email protected].
What we collect and why
Account data (email, name, password hash) to operate your account (contract, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR); profile data (role, interests, bio) to personalize your feed (contract); activity data (swipes, votes, submitted ideas, matches, messages) to provide the matching service (contract); a push token only if you opt in to notifications (consent, Art. 6(1)(a), revocable in Settings); technical logs (IP, user agent per session) for security (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f)). We do not use advertising trackers.
Payments
Subscriptions and one-off purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store; we receive entitlement status (via RevenueCat), never your payment details.
How long we keep it
Account data until you delete your account. Sessions expire after 7 days. On deletion your swipes, votes, quotas and notifications are erased; your submitted ideas are anonymized and messages you sent are redacted.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export (Settings → Export my data), or delete (Settings → Delete account) your data at any time, object to or restrict processing, and lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority (in Greece: the Hellenic Data Protection Authority). Export and deletion work directly in the app with no support ticket needed.
Processors and transfers
We use hosting, database and email infrastructure providers under data processing agreements (Vercel, MongoDB Atlas, Upstash, Resend, RevenueCat). Where data leaves the EEA it is protected by adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses.
